UGC NET Cut Off Marks 22
UGC NET 2023 Cut Off marks will be released after the declaration of results. Candidates have to obtain the minimum cut-off marks to get selected for the merit list.
The merit list will be prepared category-wise and subject-wise for each subject. Only the top 6% of qualified candidates will be considered for the Junior Research Fellowship programme.
Candidates can check the cut-off marks after their declaration by the officials. It will be made available only through online mode.
How To Calculate UGC NET Cut-Off Marks Score
To determine the cutoff for UGC NET, NTA takes a few steps. The following is a brief description of the procedure:
- Step 1: The total number of eligible candidates in the exam must equal 6% of the total number of candidates who took both papers.
- Step 2: The total number of slots allotted to candidates from various groups under the Government of India’s reservation policy.
- Step 3: The minimum marks that candidates must achieve in order to be eligible for a JRF award and/or Assistant Professor eligibility are mentioned in the table below:

- Step 4: The qualifying factor for candidates who pass the UGC NET will be dependent on their subject category. UGC NET Cut Off Marks For JRF Calculation Procedure
NTA selects a certain number from the top 6% of UGC NET qualified candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) based on eligibility criteria.
You should know that the upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years as on the dates prescribed. The upper age limit is 33 years for reserved category candidates.
A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC NCL/SC/ST/PwD/, Transgender categories and to women applicants.
The total number of slots available for awarding UGC NET JRF is according to the categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
The procedure for subject-wise cum category-wise allocation of JRF slots is illustrated below.

UGC NET Cut Off For Assistant Professor Calculation Procedure
The aggregate percentage of the two papers corresponding to the number of slots that arrived will determine the qualifying cut-off for Assistant Professor.
